American Standard plaster work sink is constructed of vitreous china, a type of ceramic fired at high temperature to form a non-porous body coated with a ceramic glaze which is fused to the body and has a high back splash and wall hanger (can also be used with exposed bracket support; 15-Inch painted brackets available). There is one center faucet hole. The nominal dimensions are 30-Inch by 22-Inch. We bought the sink a little over a year ago for a new house we were building. The sink was installed about 3 months ago and within a month, cracks began to form and grow. After inspecting the underside of the sink, a line of bubbles in the casting were noted along where the crack had formed. This was brought to the attention of American Standard and they refused to take any responsibility. I guess $600 is the breaking point for bad publicity. I will not be buying any other goods from American Standard from this point forward.

we installed this sink in our mudroom bath over a year ago. it is as sturdy and useful as it is beautiful. it's even big enough to wash small dogs and great for soaking clothing. no problems here.
