I wanted a hot/cold water spigot with one temperature and flow control knob and this product delivered; you control flow by pulling the knob out and temperature is controlled by turning the knob left (for hot) and right (for cold). I really dislike having to fiddle with a separate hot and cold knob to adjust the temperature (whether it's a shower fixture, kitchen/bathroom sink, or in this case an outdoor hose bib)...I know, I know, first world problem, right? But if you can buy a product that makes life easier, why not?
Product was installed professionally, but after watching my plumber do it, anyone with basic soldering experience can install the faucet.
This product is perfect for anyone who would benefit from having warm water at an outdoor water spigot. I use it to rinse off after a swim in the pool, filling my tropical fish tank, washing my car and bathing dogs.
Tips:
- Go onto Moen's website to get product dimensions/specifications to make sure it fits your application. The size referenced in the product title is a bit misleading.
- If possible, use stainless steel screws to mount the fixture. (This will reduce the risk of rusting)
- Install shutoff valves on the hot and cold lines prior to the fixture so that if you have any problems with the unit, you can just close the valves and not lose water to the rest of the house.
- The faucet can be opened fairly easily. If you have a dog that stays in the yard unsupervised and he/she likes to chew on things, you might want to build a box around it so that you don't come home to a flooded backyard; I can see a dog pulling the valve open if he tries chewing on the plastic handle.
The finish on the faucet is very nice.
The only way I can think of improving the product is to make it a little more difficult to turn on (some sort of lock mechanism to avoid any accidental opening would be nice).

Almost a 5 star.
What a great idea hot and cold water for outdoor use.
I purchased to add the option of "soft" hot & cold water for washing cars.
Local DIY carwashes have gotten far to expensive, typically spend about $10 per wash to use their soft water.
In the long run this will be a money saver and far more convenient.
Great warranty and Moen quality.
Only downsides are for stating 6" faucet the overall length that goes through the wall was about double that length. Make sure to look at the overall length for your installation. Installation instructions were not very detailed and the operation handle is not quite a smooth as I would like, but these are minor issues.

Hired a plumber to install and the thing leaks.Now I get to buy another and pay a plumber to install again.
